Weld-on sightglass fittings for the observation of the internals of pressure vessels, silos, gear-trains, separators, pipelines, etc.
These sightglass units can be combined with light fittings for use in explosion hazardous areas and safe areas. The cover flanges can be drilled and tapped to take these light fittings.
Description
Sightglass fittings to DIN 28120 are circular flanged sets suitable for welding into or onto vessel walls, complete with relevant matching seals and sight glass disc set between the flange rings.
Based upon these standard thicknesses, distortion free location of the sightglass is guaranteed provided of course that the welding flange has been correctly welded into or onto the vessel wall.
They can be combined with Lumiglas light fittings for use in explosion hazardous areas and safe areas.
- Nominal sizes DN50 to DN200 are available (viewing diameter: 80 to 225 mm)
- These fittings are available for pressure up to 16 bar (depending on size, higher pressure rating on request)
- Temperature rating up to 280°C (depending on material selection), up to 900°C possible
- Materials available are stainless, carbon steels and specials such as Hastelloy custom built versions
